Gai Anderson is a performer, singer, community artist and sometimes puppeteer from Nicholls Rivulet who is also a TaKeTiNa teacher in-training. She will be joined in leading these sessions by Melbourne Based TaKeTiNa Teacher Ria Soemardjo. Ria is also an Alexander Technique teacher and highly regarded vocalist / instrumentalist, presenting and recording original music in Australia and Asia. Her distinct and haunting vocal style reflects her Australian /Indonesian heritage.

TaKeTiNa is a musical and meditative, group process which leads participants into states of relaxation, inner presence and rhythmic awareness. As patterns of rhythm are layered into our bodies through simple stepping, clapping, and vocal patterns, the leaders accompany the process, playing surdo drum and berimbau, to create beautiful and uplifting music. No technical skills or prior experience is necessary to participate. Suitable for adults and teenagers.
Come and try. It’s simple and its fun.
