Indigenous people, and many many cultures around the world have danced on and with Country for generations. Dancing for responsibility, for ritual, for ceremony, for transcendence, and for maintaining the health, wellbeing and aliveness, of that which sustains.
Curated by Michelle Maynard, the Sandcircle is a space inspired by dancing on country, and, the Daybreaker dance movement bringing dance into the health and wellbeing realm. It invites an intentional stepping in for a moment to immerse, feel the sand, the earth under your feet, contemplate your relationship to country, to community, to yourself.
Step in this year for a journey through Sunrise & Sunset dances, Rythmic meditation drumming, Taketina, Somatic ecology, Sound Healing and more. And remember, ‘Country is meant to be danced on.’
